Our Wreath room has EXPANDED! Last season brought many new faces to the farms wreath room in the fall of 2023.
Enjoy an evening of learning a new craft skill and creating a wonderful art piece for your home from live greenery.
HOW IT WORKS
Workshop scheduling will begin around the 1st of October.
We will meet your group in our gift barn then head to our heated wreath room.
We provide the greenery, bows, extras, hot cocoa & a sweet treat.

Christmas Season
Our Farm’s Story: From Seedlings to Christmas Traditions
It all began in 2012 when Ted Schrader and his Uncle Tim planted around 50 blue spruce seedlings on Tim’s property on the Southside of Niles, Michigan. Fast forward to 2019, and those little seedlings had grown into towering trees nearly 12 feet tall. As Ted stood among them, selecting a tree he had nurtured from its earliest days, he felt a profound sense of accomplishment and joy. It was more than just picking a Christmas tree—it was experiencing the magic of something grown with care and patience. Inspired by that moment, Ted knew he wanted to share this joy with family, friends, and the wider community.
In the spring of 2020, the Schrader family—Ted, Lindsey, Keaton, and Clay—took the dream further. Together, they planted 300 fir and spruce trees on their small farm nestled in the rolling countryside of Edwardsburg, Michigan, transforming the upper field into the heart of their future Christmas tree farm. Each spring since, they’ve added another 500 to 600 seedlings, ensuring a steady, staggered growth of trees that will be ready for cutting in the years to come.
Since it takes 5-7 years for these trees to reach maturity, the Schraders currently offer pre-cut trees, handmade wreaths, and porch pots. They’ve also opened their farm to visitors seeking an authentic country Christmas experience. Every year, they work to add something new—whether it’s fresh photo opportunities or unique farm features—so there’s always a little surprise in store.
The Schrader farm is intentionally small and intimate, offering a more peaceful, crowd-free atmosphere for families who want to take their time selecting the perfect Christmas tree. While their “Choose & Cut” service is still a few years away, visitors can already enjoy a handpicked selection of pre-cut trees and handcrafted holiday décor.
The farm is open from the weekend before Thanksgiving through the Saturday before Christmas. Whether you’re searching for the perfect tree, a beautiful wreath, or simply some holiday magic, the Schrader family warmly invites you to visit and create cherished memories.
